Kurdish Delegation visits TU Dortmund University

On April 12th 2018, a delegation from the Kurdistan Regional Government headed by Dr. Yousif Goran, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Kurdistan Institution for Strategic Studies and Scientific Research visited the TU Dortmund University as part of a German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) supported visit of the delegation to the Federal Republic of Germany.

The delegation visited TU Dortmund University in the frame of the ongoing Planning Education in Iraq (PLIQ) project to discuss the success this project has had in developing and graduating Spatial Planners who receive a joint BSc from Duhok University College of Spatial Planning and TU Dortmund Faculty of Spatial Planning.  The delegation visit was very friendly and the delegation conveyed the message that they are happy with this partnership and wish to deepen the educational and scientific research endeavors between Germany and the Kurdistan Regional Government.  The delegation was received by the Vice Rector for TU Dortmund University, Prof. Dr. Metin Tolan, and the PLIQ project leader, Prof. Dr. Dietwald Gruehn.
