Best Poster Award for F13 "Sustainable Planning for Water Resources in San Diego"

A team from the advanced student project F-13, working on the theme “Managing Extremes: Sustainable Planning for Water Resources in San Diego” attended and presented at the 2016 Stockholm World Water Week. The team won the 2016 Best Poster Award for the conference.

The research was conducted in partnership with the City of San Diego Planning Department and the Technical University of Dortmund, Faculty of Spatial Planning within the scope of the F-13 project topic. The research presented a combination of institutional and technological approaches to better understand and provide suggestions for sustainable water management in the City of San Diego, California. The evidence presented was based on site visits, Best Management Practice locator mapping, policy document analysis, and interviews with experts in the field of water management and planning in San Diego.
