Inaugural lecture and international Symposium:
For the first time in decades, we experience lively and public debates on land policy issues not only on the national scale, but also internationally. These are driven by new land questions, emerging around issues of housing, reduction of land uptake, or densification, but also climate change and adaptation. How can and how should land policy respond to the land questions?
Next to the inaugural lecture of the new chair for land management and land policy, Prof. Dr. Thomas Hartmann, academics, practitioners, and students from the field land policy, spatial planning, and property rights will explore and discuss net new land questions and land policy responses in interactive sessions.
